Do you have a content strategy?
Yes. We started the company on the premise that building an email newsletter was difficult because it constantly required good articles of interest to the reader. Who writes the articles?
BizActions has experienced fulltime employees as writers and editors as well as independent contractors who create most of our content. In addition we have employees specializing in graphics who format the articles. Top

Does everybody get the same newsletter?
That depends. All newsletters are synced up and receive the same content based on the categories chosen for each account when they were set up, no matter when the individual database member starts receiving service.  However individuals in your database still might receive different articles based on the content classes they are placed in and the different type of content that exists in each content class. Top

How do you manage your article inventory?
Articles are categorized as either Standard, Niches, Timely Opportunities, or Sponsor Content. We have well over 5,000 standard articles in our inventory. Each article has an update date as well as a code for the type of article. All articles go through a rigorous edit and review procedure. Assuming your firm sends a weekly email newsletter, we have enough standard content to last approximately 4.5 years. Top

Can I choose which categories of articles I want to send?
Sort of. You can choose any 8 Standard categories and any Niches. You cannot choose a Niche category as a Standard category. Timely Opportunities may be turned on or off. Top

What are Timely Opportunity articles?
The articles, which are written by our staff on a weekly basis, cover a variety of business and personal finance topics. The articles are very timely and are clicked more often than other articles. It helps position a firm as being on the cutting edge of new developments. Top

What is Sponsor Content?
Sponsor content are articles you write about your firm, your products, people, and clients. It is the place to showcase your firm and add marketing messages using an education strategy. If you do not have the time or inclination to write your own sponsor content our writers can ghost write articles for you at a reasonable charge. You will not only be able to use ghost written articles in your email newsletter but in addition can place them on your website and send them to magazines and newspapers so they can published there as well. How much room does a firm have for Sponsor Content?
A firm can use up to 6 sections for Sponsor Content. Each section has a Title, brief summary, and a button to click Full Article. Top

What is Templated Sponsor content?
For many industries, we have written articles for Sponsor Content. These articles can be used as is edited and changed as you want. They are meant to get you started. In addition we have created many items to help make your email newsletter more interesting. As an example there are puzzles, quizzes, Holiday announcements and fun items such as sudden acts. The choice is totally your firm's as to whether any templated items are used. Top

How do you publish banners and Sponsor Content?
In the Sponsor Center for the Administrator, there is a publishing tool that allows you to publish banners and Sponsor Content for up to 1 year in advance. After that, it will be delivered automatically. We recommend that you plan quarterly campaigns and publish them 3-4 months in advance. Top

Suppose I forget to add banners or Sponsor Content, what happens?
Maybe you are on vacation or out sick and can't set the content. Our system has default banners and announcements that are usually created during the set-up process. These defaults will automatically be published if no banners or announcements are created for a particular period. Top

How do I create Sponsor Content?
We provide templated articles you can use as is or edit them. Or, you can write your own articles. We supply an editor for your use as well as an inventory of images. Top

What are your Industry Groupings?
We have chosen 8 categories of articles we think works well for that industry. You are free to use our industry selections or build your own 8 categories from among all our Standard categories. Top

What is the order for delivering categories of articles in a newsletter?
Sponsor Content is first and at the top of the email newsletter. Next comes Timely Opportunities FOLLOWED BY Niches and then Standard articles. Top

Can a reader receiving the newsletter unsubscribe from a category of articles?
Readers can unsubscribe from any Standard category of articles but not from Niche articles or Timely Opportunity articles. Top

How many Standard categories of articles are in a newsletter?
Each email newsletter has a maximum of 8 standard categories of articles chosen by the Sponsoring organization of which 2 articles are delivered each issue. Top

What are Niche articles?
Niche articles are special categories of articles delivered to specific members of your database. As an example, Manufacturing is a Niche category and by indicating on your database that a member gets this Niche, the email newsletter is opened up and a Manufacturing article is inserted. Top

How many Niches can my firm send out?
Niches are premium content. Your firm can purchase as many Niches as you want but no member can receive more than 2 niche categories. Top

How often are Niche articles delivered?
Niche articles are delivered every other email newsletter issue. If your firm is delivering only one Niche, the system can be set to deliver that Niche each issue of your email newsletter. Top

Can a firm edit our articles?
No, but you can review all the articles in a particular category and stop a specific article from being sent within your email newsletter just by putting a checkmark next to it. Top

Can a firm add content to an existing article?
Yes, you can add what we call a Trailer to the end of specific articles. In addition you could add the same Trailer to all articles within a category. Top

What are some examples for using Trailers?
You might want to add a disclaimer after each article in the tax category. Or, you might want to promote your services at the end of the article if you have specific services that relate to it. Top

Can we add your articles to our Web site?
BizActions articles are copyright protected and as such unauthorized distribution is a violation or our agreement.  However we do allow our articles to appear on your Web site under specific conditions.  Our Timely Opportunities Widget allows select BizActions articles that are updated weekly to be accessible from your Web site via a link that opens a separate browser window branded to your firm.  We are working on an enhancement that would allow your firm to add various other libraries of content to your Web site. One of the benefits of these types of enhancements is the automatic placement or updating of articles as they are created and edited. Without this type of technology, the articles would become outdated very quickly. Top
